9 Aug 08 - Colorado Vacation - day 4

the 4th day of our vacation.... we had some seperate family time in the morning.... George, Cady and I went to the Hornbeck homestead museum.... even though it was locked and we couldn't actually get in the buildings... I loved browsing around the authentic log cabin, dugout, wagons... neat to see how a real prairie homestead might have looked.

here's a pic of Cady and Kailie on the deck before we all left... love this pic.

9 Aug 08 - like stepping back in time (JR)

curious little chipmunk kept popping his head up looking at us... didn't seem afraid at all.

Later that afternoon, we all met back up at the cabin so we could make our yearly trek up Pikes Peak via the Cog railway. We discussed driving, but figured the cog allows everyone to enjoy the view.

besides... who in their right mind would want to be driving on this kind of road with NO SIDE-RAILS.... crazy.

this year was something we hadn't experienced there before... it was so incredibly foggy that we could hardly see in front of us. and cold?? brrrr... it was very chilly... glad I brought my hoodie.

on the way down the Peak... it was dark, we all were tired.... I caught a little nap on George's shoulder... Kailie (lizard girl) and Cady (monkey chick) were having a little fun.

then it happened... the funniest thing of all.... someones shriveled up weiner came rolling down the aisle right under Sherri Lynn's seat... OMG.... we got the giggles.... "attack of the rolling weiner"... LOL
