there are a lot of photos taken on this day of our vacation. We spent nearly the entire day at Royal Gorge.... there's plenty to do there and we enjoyed it.

{this was the year that Kailie got the nickname Mable Sox. We were in wal-mart in Woodland Park getting groceries and supplies. The girls went off browsing. We all met up at the front to check out and Kailie came up to us with this shocked/baffled look on her face. Her Mom asked her what was wrong and she proceeded to share the story about how an elderly woman had begun a conversation with her and she was being polite. The lady started calling her Mable, which is her own daughter's name. Finally Kailie told her she had to go... then what she said next, made us all laugh.... "and all I wanted to do was look at some socks".... you had to be there.... hence the name... Mable Sox!!} (KB)
